Aubrey Road Medical Centre – Your Access to Care

We’re here to help – safely and efficiently

Same-Day Care:

  • All patients needing medical attention will be assessed the same day.
  • Sometimes, a face-to-face appointment may not be necessary – our clinicians will advise the safest option.

Alternative Ways to Get Care:

If a face-to-face GP appointment is not needed, you can access these services:

  • Pharmacy First – Quick advice and treatment for minor illnesses (colds, coughs, infections).
  • 111 Service – Health advice and guidance when you need help quickly.
  • Walk-in Centres / Urgent Care Centres – For minor injuries and urgent health needs.
  • Community Nursing Teams – Home visits for chronic conditions or mobility issues.
  • Health Visiting / School Nursing Teams – Support for children and families.
  • Mental Health Support – Local services for emotional well-being and mental health.
  • Allied Health Professionals – Physiotherapy, podiatry, dietitian, and more.

Why Some Appointments Are Not Face-to-Face:

  • Certain conditions can be safely managed over the phone or online.
  • Our team follows clinical guidelines to ensure you receive the safest and fastest care.

Your Rights:

  • You will always receive advice, support, and a clear explanation of your care.
  • You can ask questions if you’re unsure about the recommended approach.

Thank you for helping us provide safe, accessible care for all patients!

Welcome to Aubrey Road Medical Centre

At Aubrey Road Medical Centre, our patients are at the heart of everything we do.

Our website is designed to give you quick and easy access to the information you need, from opening hours and how to register, to health advice and links to trusted NHS resources.

We want our practice to be welcoming and accessible for everyone. The building has step-free access for wheelchair users, interpreting services can be arranged if needed, and we have an induction loop system to support patients with hearing aids. Guide dogs are also very welcome on the premises.

We are proud to be a training practice, supporting the development of future healthcare professionals. This includes healthcare assistants, final-year medical students, junior doctors, and specialist GP trainees who work with us as part of their training.
